The more information you want to put on a writable surface, the larger the format that should be chosen. A rough surface is a characteristic of the offset paper used, which is particularly suitable for printing in the offset process and is also suitable for copiers, and inkjet and laser printers.

6. History of the writing pad and current use

If you were wondering who invented the notepad, we can give you a brief outline. The writing pad has been around for decades and was in use many years ago when there was still no digital data processing. Ernest Hemingway, for example, wrote his thoughts and experiences in a moleskin notebook. At the time, this notepad was actually made of moleskin, and it is still often used today.

Nowadays these moleskin books are marketed by an Italian manufacturer at inflated prices. It has been two centuries since the invention of the writing pad with the black cover in which the poets and writers of that time immortalized themselves. Oscar Wilde, Bruce Chatwin, Vincent van Gogh and Henri Matisse captured their impressions and drawings in their notebooks and kept them forever.

But even today, when digital word processing is booming, we cannot imagine ourselves without writing pads. Whether at school, in the workplace, at trade fairs or conferences ...
